Metal curtains for protective transparency

Copper net screens have a cloth-like structure and provide strength and openness in equal measure – the mechanical protection of an open metal screen plus the translucency of a semi-transparent veil. The use of TECU® Net as a rib mesh gives building façades an appealing lightness, the mesh appearing to float in front of the structure. On glass surfaces the products offer a combination of security and aesthetic value, producing fascinating impressions from inside and out. The various TECU® surfaces in the form of rib meshes create highly individual and characteristic effects of light and space.

The mesh structures of the TECU® surfaces are created, after the strips of copper and copper alloys are produced, by means of multicut perforation and subsequent stretching of the material. The metal mesh created in this way is also distended in terms of the thickness of the material by the tractive forces. Subsequent rolling of the stretched metal produces the almost flat rib mesh.
