Brass Rolled Products

KME offers a wide range of brass rolled products in the form of strips, sheets and discs in order to meet our customers' needs for industrial manufacturing or for the production of gift articles and decorative objects.

Brass is the most commonly known copper alloy: it is a binary copper-zinc alloy that, as the zinc content varies, gives rise to a range of materials that have widely varying characteristics.

Strips

KME supplies brass strips in the main tempers and in the following size range:

(other sizes upon request). More stringent tolerances with respect to the EN 1652 standard and beyond. Our strips are also available with a low rolling oil residue (residue free for annealed temper), emulsion rolled (only at 4-5 mm thickness) and even with Dry and Bright surfaces, without surface residue and, upon request, protected on both sides with a PVC film. This last surface specification is only available for half-hard or hard temper strips at a thickness of 1.5 mm.

55/65 and 110/130 kg/cm coil weights are available up to a maximum width of 700 mm. Others available upon request.

Traverse wound strips

KME supplies traverse wound strips with a thickness between 0.2 and 1.0 mm and a width between 8 and 60 mm. Standard tolerances in accordance with EN1652, special tolerances on width +/- 0.1 mm, different tolerances upon request. (More information on the coils).

Sheets

KME supplies high quality brass sheets in the main tempers and in the following size range:

• Standard width: 1000 mm - 900 mm - 670 mm and 600 mm
• Length: min. 500 mm - max. 3000 mm (400 mm - 4000 mm for thicknesses < 2 mm).
• Thickness: min 0.2 – max 5 Other sizes upon request.

KME can also provide CUZN39Pb2 alloy sheets for clock making applications.

Discs

KME supplies brass discs in the main tempers and in the following size range:

• Thickness: 0.3 – 3 mm
• Diameter:  30 – 1000 mm

Standard diameter tolerance: +/- 1 mm (other tolerances upon request)                                              

The special Dry & Bright surface finish, with the potential addition of PVC protective film is only applied to sheet thicknesses of up to 1.2 mm.
