WICU® Solar
WICU® Solar and WICU® Solar Duo are an integrated system, designed by KME, for solar energy heating systems.
WICU® Solar Duo is made up of two perfectly insulated copper tubes (thermal insulation in polyester) wrapped in a polythene tape and includes an electrical wire for powering the probe. The exterior of the system is protected by a very strong low density polythene covering.
Characteristics of the copper tubes
- Manufactured in accordance with European Standard EN 12449
- Physical state: R200 (coils)
- Absolute roughness: e.= 0.0015 mm
- Linear thermal expansion coefficient: 0.0168 mm/m°C
- Do not soften at high temperatures
- Completely impermeable to gases
- Resistant to UV rays
Characteristics of the covering
- Tubes thermally insulated with a double layer of polyester and wrapped with a single layer of polythene tape.
- External protection of low density polythene (PE-LD): Thickness = 1.5 mm
- Thermal conductivity of the polyester insulation: λ≤ 0.037 W/mK
- Thickness of the single layer of polyester thermal insulation: 4mm
- Excellent resistance to external agents
- The system is complete with an electrical wire for powering the probe.
