Q-tec® λ

Tube suitable for the distribution of drinking water and for radiator heating systems.

Q-tec® λ is the copper tube with a reduced thickness and a pre-insulated polythene covering that conforms to Italian Law 10/91 and the relative decree that is currently in force (Presidential Decree 412/93). Suitable for the distribution of drinking water and for radiator heating systems, Q-tec® λ has a flame resistant and insulating closed cell PE foam covering that is made without the use of CFC and HCFC.

Characteristics of the Q-tec® λ copper tube

• Reduced thickness copper tube with a polythene covering
• Interior contact material: Cu-DHP copper according to Italian Ministerial Decree 174/04
• Purity of the internal surface: In accordance with EN 1057
• Absolute roughness: e.= 0.0015 mm
• Carbon residue: C<0.06 mg/dm2
• Completely impermeable to gases
• Resistant to UV rays
• System temperature resistance: continuous 95°C

Characteristics of the covering

• Thermal conductivity at 40°C:λ≤ 0.040 W/m°C
• Mean density of the covering: 30 kg/m3
• Minimum thickness of the covering: 6mm
• Void of ammoniacal residues
• Excellent resistance to external chemical agents
• Class 1 non flammable (Italian classification system)
