The KME Group history
The KME Group is a modern industrial group, deeply rooted in the history of European industry as well as the personal history of the Orlando family, one of the oldest Italian industrial dynasties.
In the Nineteenth Century, the Orlando family played a leading role not only in the unification of Italy, but also in the birth and growth of the national industry.
Now, over one hundred years later and thirty years after its expansion into the international marketplace in 1987, the KME Group is:
- Among the first fifteen multinational corporations in Italy
- The number one Group in the world in the production of semi-finished copper and copper alloy products, with a product range including special high technology components.
- Among the first eight Groups in the world in the non-ferrous metallurgical industry
- Among the first thirty Groups in the world in the metallurgical/foundry industry
