A binding environmental policy, established in 2001
Protecting the environment from the potential effects of our copper processing is a primary goal for KME which has made this a focus of its environmental policies.
The EC directives regarding environmental protection have been fully implemented and each Group company is committed to guaranteeing compliance not only in the interests of our clients, but also of our employees and the inhabitants of the areas surrounding our plants.
KME’s environmental policy is binding on all the Group’s industrial sites, some of which have already obtained ISO 14000 certification, while the rest is already in the certification process as established by the Board of Directors’ 2001 statement on Environmental Policy, obviously harmonised with ISO 14001, and which is rigorously applied by all of our companies in the full range of their activities.
